iDrishti is a social impact enterprise. Our hospitals become self-sustaining based on walk-in patients who pay for their care. Each hospital delivers outreach programs into the community, serving patients from lower income groups with subsidised and free care. These patients receive free consultations at our hospitals, subsidised glasses, diagnostics, and surgeries offered at the marginal cost of care.
Mobile Eye Clinics and outreach teams run camps across villages in every district. Free consultations, subsidised glasses and free surgeries for lower income patients.
With support of donors we cover school children in government schools and conduct free eye screening and distribution of free glasses across all schools in the district.
Our cross-subsidy model ensures no patient is turned away for inability to pay. Free / Subsidised Cataract surgeries with support from social insurance schemes, government schemes and donors.
Millions of villagers in Karnataka live without access to basic eye care. Preventable blindness is robbing families of livelihoods — and most don't even know they need help.
Our Program is designed to improve the eye health of everyone in the village over 3 years.
